The Pool

Pool Image

Generally open from Memorial Day thru Labor day, members have round-the-clock (24 x 7) keycard-based access to the Association’s private “Members & Guests Only” heated in-ground swimming pool. The only restrictions on use are relative to “quiet times” and special maintenance. The pool is generally within walking distance of most homes in the Association, but an adjacent parking lot and bike rack are available as well.

The pool facility is under the supervision of a CPO (Certified Pool Operator). The water temperature is maintained at a constant median 80 degrees; and crystal clear water quality is achieved by both a computer-automated continuous water testing & chemistry balancing system, as well as a daily visit by a commercial pool service & cleaning company.

A convenient bathhouse features both men’s & women’s toilets as well as rinse-down shower/changing rooms. Several picnic tables and a regularly mowed grassy & shaded picnic are are present immediately adjacent to the pool facility parking lot.

The Pier

Pier Image

Located just ¼ mile away on Bay Drive, the Association owns and maintains a private six-slip pier for members. Accessible from Lauderdale Lakes, the pier allows members with boats to dock for the day or overnight without paying marina docking fees.

Docking is first-come, first-served, and reservations are not accepted. Members planning to use a slip, stay overnight, or obtain required boat stickers must contact the pier manager, Mike Spiro, at (847) 812-1938.

Boats must display Mariner Hills Property Owners Association stickers, or they will be towed at boat owners’ expense. Limit one pair of stickers per house.

Note: Small, hand-carried watercraft (such as kayaks or canoes) may be carried down the steps or slope on the pier property. Motorboats cannot be launched at this location and must instead use one of the public or private boat launches on Lauderdale Lakes.
